Mom's Fish pada - Fish pickle south Indian

Want  to savour your fish in a spicy pickle so that you can have it any time . Fish Pada is Indian fish pickle recipe that once made can be stored  for a long time because its made in a pickle recipe. The fish pada recipe is a south Indian recipe.

Ingredients



2 kg of Mackrels Or suitable Fish like Mullet , Snapper , Barramundi , Oil & Salt Chilli powderTumeric powderLime juiceGarlicGinger PeppercornsCummin seedsMustard seedsVinegarCurry LeavesFish Pickle Indian Recipe - South Indian Fish Pada -

More Images and video of preparation coming soonMethod First you will need to prepare the fish Smear fish with paste of chilli powder , tumeric powder , salt and lime juice,Let it marinate for an hourNEXT: Deep fry the marinated fish to a golden brown in oil on a panNow you will need to prepare the pickle dry gravy (masala)NEXT : Grind Garlic , ginger , peppercons , jeera , mustard seeds , salt ,chilli powder and tumeric with vinegar to a paste and keepPour oil in a pan , put some curry leaves and let it splutter , then add the paste masala made just above and fry it on a low flame , until it becomes a thick consistency.Next , add the fried fish stir it for a couple of minutes and its done Also check out another recipe over here >> PICKLEAnd here Fish Pickle

At last!! I'm sure all of us wouldve been waiting for this...

I had made this pickle already - based on what i remembered of the recipe when mum used to make it. I also added an onion - gives it more masala.

I used fresh white fin tuna. It came good. However, mackerel and kingfish are the best for this pickle.
